So my wife was placing the iPad down, about 45 degree angle on a wooden table with a table cloth. Heard large thump as she was putting it down pretty hard/quickly.

No visible damage...just hoping that something won't come loose on the inside (soldering) in like a year from now.

Thoughts?

This is such a stupid post I don't even have enough words or the correct ones to possibly elaborate on this.

Other than the word iPad, it has absolutely no point or reason to have a thread.

Just because I stubbed my toe the other day without any bruising or damage (i did make a loud noise though), I didn't put a post on iToeRumours yesterday.

Oh and I think I saw someone drop their toast in the canteen today, it made a loud flop noise.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes

So what are you asking.

Are you asking if you should just replace it because you wife's carelessness "might" have caused some kind of damage that will show up in the future!

I was thinking about a coffee and popping to the local bakers for a sausage butty..

you did ask for thoughts?

Good choice. If it's not Heinz, it's not a real condiment.

Quite.

I'm thinking I'm glad I clicked on this thread, a good laugh to start the morning.

I feel your pain, thats why my partner is not allowed to touch my things, i dont get mad at her and she only breaks her own stuff :) win win..... Yesterday she slammed her car door, but her phone was IN the door.....the phine snapped in half.....last week she spilt a pint of water inches away from her macbook pro....i dont blame her, its the way she is and i love her, but she will never be allowed near my stuff....a walking disaster lol

Is the Wife okay?

Now if we all say that it could have long term damage and you should go see Apple.... would you really do that? Don't !!!!

If your that worried, get applecare, 2 extra years and they do not open up the device to inspect the damage, they will just replace it.!

Wow. Maybe I worded that post wrong...lol

So, all I'm really wondering is if components inside the iPad (that are soldered, etc) will loosen up upon impact. as far as I know, the screen is typically the first thing to break, and if it doesn't everything should be ok.

Why would you respond to a thread that you find has no point in being a thread? Makes your post even more useless than the thread itself which I find perfectly fine.

Trying being nice. ;)
