Wow. Maybe I worded that post wrong...lol

So, all I'm really wondering is if components inside the iPad will loosen up, etc. upon impact. as far as I know, the screen is typically the first thing to break, and if it doesn't everything should be ok.

Pretty much everything is screwed down but it's possible. I would'nt worry about it! :)

It's worded fine. Some people (children) here get their kicks by being the big guy they can never be in real life.

I wouldn't worry about your iPad.

Don't think anyone will be able to give you an answer that will make real sense to the question at hand as we would only be guessing. Your guess would be as good as anyone elses. Damage internally? Maybe yes/no.

Good choice. If it's not Heinz, it's not a real condiment.

LOL! Ya know, if you read most of my posts, other than the occasional silly reply, I tend to try to hit with logic...

Nice is sometimes overrated. On the rare occassion I see a post that just hits my "stupid post" button, and unfortunately, like sitting in a class or discussion group, I CANNOT help but participate. It's a character flaw I am sure!

But if you don't believe me, check out some of my other posts. For the 98% majority of them I am not a smart ***. :p

This one just ..... well u know. It evolved into a post about sammiches...

Soldered connections don't come loose if they were done right. If you don't see my damage, and the iPad functions the same, then go in peace.;)

I would definitely have it checked out and get a new one.

And by that I mean your wife. :D

unless your wife got into a psycho rage and start to smash the iPad on the wooden table, I really wouldn't worry about it.

As rude as some of the people responding are, I'm sure that iPad will be fine. I've dropped mine countless times on hard floors, concrete, and I usually semi-drop it onto a table instead of perfectly putting it to rest like a baby.

I've been beating the crap out of it for a year and a half and it's still fine.

So my wife was placing the iPad down, about 45 degree angle on a wooden table with a table cloth. Heard large thump as she was putting it down pretty hard/quickly.

No visible damage...just hoping that something won't come loose on the inside (soldering) in like a year from now.

Thoughts?

if you have applecare you are set

my wife literally batted my iPhone out of my hand onto the hard floor of the bar... she didn't mean to but it sure looked like it (she had no reason to, we were just standing there waiting for a table). I picked it up and it was FINE.

Doesn't effing matter cause it's going to be hers as soon as the next one comes out anyway.

I don't think setting an iPad down is going to break it. quit worrying so much... you'll enjoy life much more!

Basically, it's a sausage sandwich. It could be on bread or a muffin with tomato sauce or brown sauce.

Sounds delicious, although those sauces are somewhat unusual for midwest tastes. Here a sausage sandwich has to be smothered in onion or sauerkraut, then it's "Chicagah".

Sorry to hijack this thread, but always found British versions of what we eat interesting. Like bangers and mash (if I have that right).

Wow... Do you worry this much about everything?

I'm quite sure a Sausage Butty has absolutely nothing on a Vegemite Sandwich ;)
