So it seems the 1.4 is 3x3 after all. Yes?

No, it seems 2x2 but one poster may have posted the wrong model. All the 1.4GHz confirmed rates are based on 2x2.
I hope it is 3x3 though, I'd probably still not buy it since my 2015 is chugging along well, but it would be tempting!

So we need to see 1300 Tx or similar for 3x3 confirmation? I thought 866 would be enough for 3 x 3 confirmation. What are the the threshold numbers?

867Mb/s is the top end of 2x2. The nearest 3x3 variant is 877Mb/s from what I can see. We need to see the MCS index to be really sure.

Either:
it's 2x2 (in line with the nTB and Air) and asfalloth made a mistake and used the wrong Macbook, or
it's 3x3 and chabig's 3x3 capable router is running in 2x2 mode (possible), and jiiikoo's Macbook is also connected to a 2x2 system at his/her work (also possible).

More samples would be nice but I know not many folks know much or care much about wifi. 2x2 is still fast for typical home use.

Any connection above 867Mb/s means it's 3x3. Or it's running 802.11ax and Apple left that out of their documentation. Or it's using 160MHz Channels on 2x2, which I believe is part of 802.11ac Wave 2. I haven't see much of that out there, but again, MCS index would confirm :)

Thanks. Looks like you’re connected to a one antenna router? That appears to be just one stream. The signal strength looks poor though, so I wonder if that’s why. Certainly not running 3x3 there.

Thanks for posting.

Edit: not to ask too much, but if you could move closer to the router and disable/re-enbale wifi that would be awesome. There wasn’t a single antenna AirPort Extreme I don’t think.

Hi, I have brought the 1.4 GHz MacBook Pro last week. Here's the result regarding the WiFi.

My 1.4GHz 2019 Pro also says 866Mbps. I was wondering what logic is behind country code it reports for Wifi? Mine seems to be most of the time DE even I'm not in Germany. Occasionally it shows right country code while it is still under the same wifi-router all the time. No problems with wifi and I believe not much difference between wifi in these countries (close enough) but it is odd why it shows like that.

EDIT. Seemed to report correct country code when it turned off the machine and then back on. Not sure what the logic is but obviously it sometimes gets the wrong country code for some reason. Probably nothing serious as it works just fine both ways.
