does the battery charge not last as long when using wifi?
does the battery stay charged longer when connected with an ethernet cord?

    1. Correct

WiFi uses up the battery quicker - somebody will be along shortly but around 15-20% less battery time with the airport switched on rather than ethernet.

It depends more on screen brightness than WiFi; I know people who can use their MBs with WiFi on, but brightness to minimum and use it for 6 hours.
