When downloading a file at high speeds, it seems the system becomes a little less responsive. Assuming the IO is hogging resources. Anyone else experiencing this?

When syncing DropBox it was very fast for maybe 20 minutes and it then slowed way down. Nothing I could do would speed it up except stop syncing and wait a while, at which point it would download quickly again only to drop in speed 15 minutes later.

I am convinced the MB was throttling itself. It took over night to sync all of my neighbors files where it should have been done in a couple of hours at the most.
