Wifi Calling Question

I currently wear the Ultra 3 and just ditched cellular on my watch because I rarely ever use it. But from what I understand is that if your watch is connected to a know wifi and your iphone is not with you I heard you can make calls via wifi......I tried everything and it's not working for me.....anyone have any thoughts on this......thanks

Also, some networks might have wifi calling disabled

1. Turn on Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone, then turn on Add Wi-Fi Calling For Other Devices.
