I live in an area with poor phone reception and use a VZW phone extender to boost signal strength, though it is not always useful. I just got a pop-up message on my phone to allow Wi-Fi calling on this account, contact Verizon. I did not go to the website at the time, though I am not sure where to go now or why I need to go to the website. Anyone know anything about this?

thanks.

What phone do you have?

I live in an area with almost no reception. My 6+ and my 6s+ (as of a few days ago) allow wifi calling with Verizon. I didn't have to do anything with Verizon, I just went to my iPhone --> Settings --> Phone --> Wi-Fi Calling ---- turn On. Enter in the Emergency Address. Bam, soon you'll get a VZW WI-FI on the top left where your signal bars are. You can force it with Airplane Mode and then turning on WiFi.

You can call, text, and do everything you could do normally ---- through wifi.
