I thought with IOS 9 update that ATT phones would have wifi calling. I tried to turn it on but said it wasn't supported in my area.

I am pretty sure you need to be on a unlimited phone calling plan for it work. I am still on the 450 minute plan and it does not work for me.

I've been using it here in Utah and I have had a horrible experience with it. It never ever works for me. Whenever I call someone over Wifi calling they can't hear me, but if I just turn wifi off then call them back they hear me just fine

AT&T works by markets. AT&T saying it supports wifi calling means nothing if the market isn't ready for deployment. Here in SFL it was working during the iOS9 Beta, but now for the official release it doesn't. Seems to me they were testing but now have it disabled.

Still a no go for Verizon iPhones too. This sucks because the concrete building I work in muffles cell signals to unusable levels and we have quality wifi available. Hopeful they'll make it available soon.

They're taking forever just like with everything else.
I hope they don't enable it only for some plans and not others.
Maybe another way for them to get the old plans users to switch to mobile share.
Wouldn't surprise me.

I just barley received this text and I guess it's becoming official in certain areas now

In Canada on Rogers it doesn't work. We keep getting please contact your carrier. I contacted my carrier who claim I need a VoLTE voice plan for wifi calling. ( I don't believe I need this to get wifi calling thou)

Weird.
I don't think VoLTE would have anything to do with that.
Wifi calling is done when connected to Wifi.
Sounds like an AT&T rep making stuff up as they go.

Has anybody tried to change his Primary Place of Usage under profile to the area, where vowifi is active? When volte came to Boston I asked them to change my Place to Boston university and got volte same moment they process it. Now you don't need to call them, you can change it under user profile in your OLAM. BTW: Don't forget to change it back, it affects your taxes.

They were having problems with it yesterday with the contact your carrier error, its fixed now and works great on Rogers. If you have Rogers One Number, you need to get them to remove it from the account for it to work properly.

I use it on T-Mobile and the quality is outstanding

I find it switches on and off a lot though--at least in my house. When it's on, though, the quality is great. But I already thought that of its on Wifi calling. I actually took a call right after I switched in May that was so clear I couldn't believe it.
