I decided to update my iPod 5 to iOS 9.1. I had no idea I could text and make calls using my iPhone number. Has this always been like this?

Text message forwarding has been there for quite a while, the call forwarding was introduced in iOS 9.

The music app on my iPod is bliss compared to the atrocity that it is on iOS 9
