    Jailbreak
    3G unrestrictor

Or you know, you could try hypnosis.
Probably make it quack like a duck too.

3G unrestrictor wont work for the BBC Iplayer.
I dont think there's a way to have this done at the moment.

    From the Dev's site:
    "◦BBC iPlayer
I tried to get it to work too, but it seems that the iPlayer uses a system that detects whether an IP-Address belongs to a mobile internet provider and then blocks it if the mobile, iPhone version of the iPlayer is used. This is possible, because the iPlayer uses the service of a company at which every internet provider has to register it's IP-Ranges. Since the check whether a mobile internet connection is used is made on the iPlayer side and not on the iPhone's side in the Safari app, I cannot unrestrict that.

Huh. I did not know that. Thank you for clarifying. I assumed BBC iPlayer was like slingbox or something similiar. Sorry about that OP. Didnt mean to give you the wrong info.

But now you are free to try hypnosis!

Why would BBC do it that way? I don't understand the motivation on their end; since they provide the higher quality feeds to desktop users it can't be a bandwidth thing. Do they have some interest in or connection to O2 that would make them so solicitous of their network?

A very unique, and ugly, way to go about this. I know they also restrict the player outside the U.K.

Um...hold your iPhone to the screen and tell it to play BBC iPlayer over 3G?

Thats cool, I didnt know either I just checked the devs site.
Its weird why they do that though, maybe the cellphone providers had something to do with it.

Using a program called My3G (available on cydia and rock) I can get my iphone to think it is on wifi and can use the sky mobile tv app.
Can some one please tell me, I have free internet bolt on with my tarriff, does this mean I can use the sky mobile tv program on edge gprs and 3g etc without paying any extra? Will my network provider have a problem with this or can I expect a problem if I do this.
    Please advise.
