WIFI cannot se 5GHz networks

After the beta 6 my iMac mid 2011 cannot see at all my 5GHz network.

Does anyone have similar problems?

Can you reproduce the symptom with Recovery OS?

Nope... it doesn't see at all!! Darn!

Very weird! When I opened Airport Utility from the iMac which runs Sierra - and configured the 5GHz from it - then I was able to detect it.


Very strange because I tried re configuring the Airport Extreme from a mac mini running El Cap. and still I wasn't able to detect from Sierra the 5GHz signal.

Just an FYI in case someone runs into the same weird thing.

Yeah, some hardware can be less pernickety about network environments.

Yeah.... well.... When my iMac dies I will do a full replace - AE included.
And money has to show up somehow 🙂
