Has anyone had, or read of any IOS 13 bugs, where the WiFi will randomly stop working? I’m trying to figure out if it is the software or hardware ( experiencing on a brand new IPhone 11 pro max) issue.

Every so often, while connected to WiFi, I will lose connection. I don’t get any error messages , my phone still shows as connected to WiFi, but nothing will load. If I toggle off WiFi and then right back on, it connects. This happens often enough that it is an issue

I have tried restarting my router but still have the issue.

My other devices are all connected with no issues. I have a Oculus Quest that has a similar issue, but from oculus forums, it seems like a bug in the software, so I believe it is just coincidence.

I cannot speak for everyone else, but I went through the whole iOS 13 developer betas, and on my XS I noticed WiFi would disconnect for about 10-15 seconds and then reconnect itself.

So I truly believe this is a software bug, since it has not happened to me on iOS 13.1 dev. betas.

Thanks for the input. I’m hoping that 13.1 fixes it, but I don’t want to wait to long to return it if is in fact hardware related

I’ve been experiencing this.
11 Pro Max on iOS 13.0

Hoping 13.1 fixes it!

Yep, same here on 13.0 on my iPhone 11 Pro Max, though do not experience it much. Did not feel it was worth putting a 13.1 dev. beta on my new iPhone Friday, when 13.1 was going to be released tomorrow.

Though, as I said above, I do not experience this on my iPhone XS with 13.1.

Had same thing, using my airport extreme wifi. Did a hard reboot of the phone and the disconnects stopped. iPhone Xr with 13.0

Tried rebooting , still happening for me.
Impatiently waiting on 13.1

Both my iPhone and my iPad with iOS 13.1 public beta 4 has the same issues. Thought it was my modem and I called Spectrum to come out and replace it because the phone tech-support said they cannot update the firmware and they think something is wrong with the the modem only. Now that I see others are having the same issues, I believe it’s the iOS that is the problem. Now waiting for Spectrum to come out. Guys, please let us know if you come up with a solution that’s different than the iOS being the issue.

edit: Cable company came out, discovered wiring was lacking proper single, replace same. Now everything’s working well thus far. Time will tell.

Reporting back.... updated to 13.1. So far I have not had any WiFi issues but it has only been a day. Hopefully it was software related

Truly not being cocky at all, but I told you 13.1 fixed the dropped WiFi issue for a large majority of iPhone users that can upgrade to iOS 13.1.

Best of luck to all of you that this issue is fixed for good!!!

I am having this issue with my XS on 13, 13.1, and now 13.1.1. I have done a wipe and fresh os install, a reset network settings, and a reset all settings. Nothing has fixed it. I also went to the apple store and they did the hardware test and said everything was good. I believe it to be software because I did not have this issue until iOS 13. Im just at a loss for what to do. I have unlimited data, but now connecting to wifi at home is so annoying due to not being able to interact with my smart home devices.

Just found this thread. My wife and I are both on iPadOS 13.1.2 and both have this problem. It only happens once every couple of days. But it never happened before 13 and there is nothing wrong with my router - when the problem occurs on one device, everything is fine on all other devices. Turning WiFi on and off fixes it.

So this is an old thread but I need to ask if this is still an issue. I have an ipad pro 12.9 that i have had for less than a year...just bought my wife one this weekend. We have had nothing but problems with hers with slow page loads, no page loads or just lousy connectivity. Can be sitting with both next to each other on the coffe table and the same web site will load fast on mine but sit and hang in hers. Have tried every setting I can find. She is ready to return it.

I have the same exact issue as the OP described in the first post. 13.3.1

Also there is another XR connected having the same issue but at different random times.

This may explain why I am able to sustain a FaceTime call on my phone but its very flaky when using the HomePod
