I don't know whether this is an iOS thing or i5. Does the WiFi go to sleep when you put it in standby mode? I was running pandora last night on wifi and went to sleep, I woke up with 500mb cellular data used this morning :\

If so, how do you change it to not automatically go to sleep?

That's normal. Only workaround is to turn off cellular data before letting the phone go to sleep mode. I found even plugging it in doesn't guarantee it won't go to cellular. Some chargers will shut off when they sense a full charge.

I notice the same thing, when the phone is sleeping or on standby, as soon as i unlock it I see the LTE logo on top then quickly switches to the wifi signal logo. didn't see this on 4s. maybe fixed on 6.0.1

This seems like a bug. I thought that yes, the iPhone disables the Wifi when going to sleep...but I thought it only did that when it had no active Wifi connections?
