Wifi Issue

I was hoping somebody might know what's going on with this, I've taken it into a repair shop and they couldn't replicate it.

My mid 2011 27" iMac is connected to the wifi but keeps dropping internet signal, sometimes every few minutes, sometimes a little longer. It's not the Airport or the internet itself because my laptop stays connected just fine.

If I turn the wifi off on the iMac and then back on, it immediately connects for a few minutes before losing the signal again.

Hopefully I've explained this well, I've never heard of this before.

Are you running on Yosemite? That has a well document Wifi bug.

Read the blog post and try the steps in Fix Wi-Fi Problems in OS X Yosemite. See if that helps.

Try going to network....in system prefs..
Wifi...change location to something else like home
