I've had to type this three times because of this issue. So, I'm going to be short about it.

My wifi sucks where I live, on campus at a university, with no access to router.

Friends with both Windows and Macs have no issues.

I have no issues anywhere else.

I can't watch YouTube, play online games, or even download a file about a couple hundred Kbs.

I have tried:

zapping PRAM
resetting internet settings
disabling IPV6
using open DNS servers.

I can't use ethernet because we're only allowed one modem per apartment, and my roommate doesn't have Wifi so he uses it.

Any suggestions?

Where is the wireless connection located? What about getting a wireless hub so you roommate can hard wire to that and you will have a signal closer to you, or if your rooms or close enough a wired hub and you canboth be plugged in
