Hi there, I'm trying to create a secure and shared wireless network connection.

I want to share my internet connection between my iMac, Wii and DS. I can't do this at the moment even w/out security which somehow renders my modem useless. When I tried the instructions on Apples website for shared networks it said "The connection was terminated because the other side is not responding".

It all works fine before trying to create a secured and shared network. Any ideas? I'm connected via PPoE, I have a Netopia Caymans 3347W modem (which has given me nothing but trouble btw) if thats any help,

Cheers,
Patrick.

First off why are you using PPPoE and not DHCP? That would be an issue. To create a secure network you need to setup one up using the Router settings. You can access the router by typing 192.168.1.1 in your browser.

Now another thing you can do is search the forums for more answers, cause your questions are not unique and have been answered many times. Cheers.
