iPhone XR Wifi Not working properly

Since about the last iOS update my WiFi has basically stopped working. I am still connected but only very little data goes through. Most things just time out. It feels like the router is 300ft away - it is not though same room. I have no problems with all other devices incl. iPad 2018 and iPhone 6. no problems via LTE either.

I tried resetting the network settings on the XR but nothing changed. Any ideas ?

Try resetting the router from scratch using its reset button. That's helped me several times

Reboot both router and phone usually takes care of it. Maybe delete the WiFi and rejoin.
