HI guys how are you?

I have an iPad Air 2 and it`s the cellular one

But i leave the cellular off and just keep wifi on, but if i let the iPAd at sleep mode for a couple of time the wifi turns off and just turns on again when i press the power button, and all the notifications comes at once

Is there normal that iPad turn off Wifi when it is at sleep mode? Is there a way to keep wifi alive when the screen is off?

Thanks

My cellular Air 2 notifies me of mail and other events while on WiFi while sleeping, even with cellular is off. All of my iPads have done the same. So while sleeping, your iPad is still "listening".

Strange, mine turns off wifi and i receive all the notifications together when i wake him up

Same here. My wifi IPA2 alerts me to new email while smart cover is closed.

that has happened to me with the iPad 4th gen, but i don't see any data being used while it is asleep

Wow, I haven't had that issue at all since iOS 7. I had this issue on iOS 6 and it was quite annoying. I would wake the device to see no wifi symbol at the top left, then it would appear and notifications would just go insane, all arriving at once.

Anyway, I would try rebooting the iPad to see if that will somehow alleviate the issue.

If that doesn't help, try going to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.

If neither of those help, try Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings.

If you have performed all of these options and the issue still persists, a full restore of the iPad through iTunes may be necessary.
