Wifi Performance on New Macbook Airs

Soliciting real-world experiences with the wifi performance of the new Airs.

Dropouts - range - transfer rates etc.

My own experience with the iPad's wifi is that it is very mediocre compared to Xoom tablet.
 
And the iPad and MacBook Air are the same in what respect?

If anything I would be surprised if the MacBook Air didn't include the new 3x3 MIMO (450Mbit/s theoretical) setup that the MacBook Pro and iMac now has.
