wifi slow with bluetooth turned on ?

I'm trying to use handoff on yosemite with bluetooth turned on and noticed that my wifi is almost unusable , very slow . I'm on macbook 2012 retina and saw a bunch of threads with slow wifi with bluetooth turned on for macbook pros . It seems to be an issue regardless of OS ? Is it a hardware issue ? Anyone else have slow wifi with bluetooth turned on ?

It's a well documented issue. No real solution but to turn off bluetooth.

Another Wifi issue affecting recent machines is the slow-wifi-with-USB 3.0 peripherals bug. Intel released a white paper on the issue, it's a component flaw.
