My WIFI (MacBook pro 2018 15) is very slow at home (T-Mobile Fast 5688W) gateway and Apple Extreme via pfSense edge and Mikrotik. I don't have that Kaspersky nonsense or cannot locate it. At best, I am getting 7mbps down and up 50mbps up. What's worst and embarrassing is my 2011 Macbook pro 17 with High Sierra is getting 4 or 5 times what I am getting on the newer MacBook Pro. I don't have VPN enabled...at a lost as to what's causing the slowness. My upload speed is 10 times the download speed under Ventura 13.4.

Were is this Kaspersky? Why Apple would incorporate that nonsense into Ventura then, hides it? The firewall is from Privacy and Security...right?

It seems that some folks installed Kaspersky...I don't recall seeing that during my upgrade to Ventura or intentionally, I avoided it, since I already have IDS/IPS as well as antivirus installed and running on my network firewall (where those things needed to be). The two images below found on the web from people having slow WIFI

So, what causing my WIFI slow speed issue...conflict with T-Mobile WIFI (i don't use)? I should follow Nate's video to turn off and see.

What speeds do you get logged in as a new test user?

What speeds do you get in safe mode?

Interesting questions, indeed. I am away from home today...will test when I return...thank you!

I got the same exact speed as before; so, it wasn't worth the trouble to set up a test user. I am thinking there is a conflict between the Apple Extreme and the T-Mobile's Fast 5688W WIFI...need to disable the T-Mobile box WIFI to see whether that resolves the issue.

Setting up a Test user performs different diagnostics than Safe Mode. Safe Mode logs into your account disabling non-critical kernel extensions, clearing caches, restricts fonts, turns off login items, etc. A test user loads the standard system extensions, close to what would happen if you wiped the disk and created a new user account. As you say not likely to make a difference but it eliminates a possible point of failure.
