Wifi status in menu bar

Hi all,

On tiger how do i get the wifi status to show up on the menu bar? i don't have airport but use Wireless Network Utility. I cant find the option anywhere, can anyone offer assistance?

Btw this is in Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger

but because its not airport it doesn't how that option, or at least i can't see it
