So, count me in the camp of folks utterly baffled by what to do with my phone and my wife's and our shared Macbook and iCloud and iTunes, etc, etc, etc.. Let's just say that for NOW I'm not setting up iCloud at all on any of those 3 devices..

BUT.. does anyone know if the wifi sync does photo syncing? In other words, does it accomplish EVERYTHING that USB-plugging into the macbook used to accomplish? If so, where's the part where I tell it whether to delete the newly-imported photos from my phone? I *always* do that, as we treat our phones as capture devices and our computer as the "forever storage" device.

If wifi sync does not handle the photos, I guess I *have* to do this complicated iCloud + photostream stuff? Ugh..

yep, it gives you the option of what you want synced.... not everyone wants the pictures from their phones to automatically show up on their computer and other ios devices, but they do want everything else backed up to the cloud. I'm sure there would be some embarrasing or unfortunate mishaps if you couldn't keep your pics private on your phone.

Where? I'm not seeing where I can tell wifi-syncing to also handle photos, and whether to delete from phone when imported, etc. I'm not talking about iCloud or PhotoStream (which requires iCloud).. I'm talking about syncing our phones to our macbook the way we used to - except using wifi while we charge our phones.
