I have reboot the computer, the iPad, the iPod, and the router, and the iOS products and still nothing. It's as if they are on different networks, but they are still on the same one.

    What gives?

Check the box in iTunes when the iPad is plugged in to allow it to wifi sync.

I did that before. it worked then. it doesn't work now. I already hit google and nothing there helped either.

I assume you clicked all 72 related links including the Apple support forum threads which clearly outline how to solve the issue?

Hell even the first link gives you a few solutions.

I was having trouble with wireless sync, that was until I tried this. I'm on Windows (Windows Vista).

Download and install Bonjour Print Services from Apple. Here is the link
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL999

After install, go to Windows Control Panel->Windows Firewall->Advanced settings->Inbound Rules

Find any entries for Bonjour Service, and see what it says under "Profile". If it says "Public", that could be your problem. Double-click each entry, goto advanced tab and enable Private and Domain.
Restart iTunes, now you can wifi sync your iDevices.

If the above doesn't work (but it usually does) then try the below.

Load up Services (you can do this by entering services in the search at the bottom left of the screen after you have clicked on the start globe)

Once in there look for the service called APPLE MOBILE DEVICE. When you find it right click on it and choose RESTART from the menu.

    I fixed it.

I had to sync and backup the iPod touch, then restore. The iPad, I have to uncheck and recheck the wifi sync checkbox. my iPhone just worked. odd.
