Wifi sync stopped working

my iphone updated to 7.1 has stopped the wifi sync. itunes does not see the iphone over my network neither does the phone see my mbp if I force the sync, what can I do?

Once you update to 7.1 - 7.1 forgets the wifi sync was active so just replug via usb to computer and re-tick the box again ..

This, I did OTA updates and when it finished, a pop up said that wifi sync was disabled and to re enable it in iTunes by using the cable.

I rebooted both mbp and iphone, connected with cable, unchecked and checked wifi sync, it still wont work
