Does anyone know if there is a sync app with the new JB that can sync iTunes over a wifi or 3G connection?

I downloaded the latest version of wifi sync, got the leopard version of the desktop app online but it still won't work! I tried reset pairing, multiple reinstalls, restarts but to no avail. it keeps saying "searching for computer."

my firewall is not on and I'm not running any antivirus application. I'm on the latest version of leopard.

The only thing that could be causing that is the two not being connected to the same Wi-Fi network, or the Firewall is on.

Possible stupid question alert! My PC is on the same network as my iPhone 4 but connected via Ethernet - would this software still work?

Well, it syncs but the backup fails for some reason.

Looks like v2 is on its way due to his twitter feed:
"Wi-Fi Sync 2.0 is in the works: lots of bug fixes, proper iPad/iPhone 4 support... oh, and sync over 3G and VPN with no extra configuration."

I bought wifi sync the day it was released (on my 3gs).

I have to say that while it was pretty cool, my phone started to have more issues after installing it.

There are some threads out there about problems with wifi sync. I'd love to use it again, but I'd caution people to do a little research into before jumping right in.

Maybe everything has been ironed out at this point - that would be great, but i just dont know.

Is there a way to begin the sync from your phone or do I have to go to the computer and actually hit sync for it to start?

Works beautifully with my iP4... even performs backups seamlessly. My only complaint is that sometimes (not always) it takes a little while for the phone to pop up in iTunes.

Do you have to start the sync from your computer every time or can it be done from IP4?
