Hi,

I use a little app called WiFiSpy https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/35034/wifispy which shows my link speed in my menubar. It hasn't been updated in a long time and it's probably abandoned, but it still works for the moment.

I'm thinking ahead to when macOS goes 64bit and I suspect WiFiSpy will stop working. Does anybody know any other simple app that works in the same way? I have iStatmenus but as far as I can make out it doesn't have an option to display link speed.

Thanks.

Yep, I'm aware of that. I like to have the link speed displayed permanently though.

Check out Wifi Signal. It's in the app store. Very configurable.
