In a cup of orange juice.
Well, the storage issue is gone, as the Wii now supports 32 gig SUPER DUPER cards.

A new Zelda DS is also on its way. :)

******
Details:
******
•Store more—Add more Wii storage using SD Cards or the high capacity SDHC Card format (up to 32GB)

•Improved SD Card support—launch WiiWare™ titles, Virtual Console™ games, or channels directly from an SD/SDHC Card

•Let your Wii console move games and channels to an SD/SDHC Card with Auto Manage when system memory fills up

•Download titles from the Wii Shop Channel to Wii system memory or directly to an SD/SDHC Card

Are there any other benefits to the 4.0? Seems slightly silly they give it a whole new release version for just that. 3.5u would seem more appropriate.

Though I'm interested in the small details of 4.0 if you know them. My Wii has homebrew on it so I'm skeptical to update.

About time!

Seriously, this is a pretty good solution....32GB is plenty for me! Better then my Xbox's HDD

That said I'll likely stay on the lower end of that max....8GB sounds nice!

Not even Brainzilla knows that for sure. :p

Same here, as I'm cheap. But then again, a 16 Gig SDHC is only $37 on Amazon, but then again, 8 gig is only $19... :) The 32 Gig cards are about a $100.

Yay! :D:D

Great. Don't have anything higher than 2GB myself, but oh well.

Que piracy.

I haven't been on my Wii in ages...

I would really like to go the homebrew route, especially for SCUMMVM, but I'm afraid. If there weren't enough VC and WiiWare games that interested me, I'd do it.

I was going to put the homebrew channel on my Wii, so I can play DVDs. But I didn't really want to mess around with my Wii, or my Zelda saves

It's actually exceptionally easy to do.
  1. Save your Zelda game on your SD.
  2. Put your SD card in your Mac.
  3. Zip up the entire directory of the SD card and keep on your Mac.
  4. Then replace your SD Zelda save with the Twilight Hack, Copy to your Wii.
  5. Run Twilight Princess and open the saved game.
  6. Go say hi to the man in front of you.
  7. Bam!

Awesome. Can finally access all my VC games! Probably keep my most played on the system still.

Not interested in that new Zelda. Guess I'll have to stick to playing well made LTTP romhacks for new 2D Zelda goodness

I recall you didn't like the other Zelda either, but if you ask me, it's still a great game, just Zelda in a slightly different flavor, which isn't a bad thing at all.

sikkinixx, since you're struggling to care less, that means you do care, even if it's only a small bit. :p

I've actually been playing my Wii every night since last Friday. I finally started playing Ultimate Alliance, and that game came with my Wii when I bought it two months after release!

I'm about 2/3 of the way done, so I have another couple of nights of Wii-ness in me.

After that it's just replays of Mario Kart/Tiger Woods '07/Madden '08/Excite Truck... Heh.

My wife still tinkers around with Harvest Moon and My Sims: Kingdom. So our Wii is still getting some okay play time, but I wish a halfway decent game would come out soon.

I would give a kidney for F-Zero. Has Nintendo abandoned the franchise??

I just updated the Wii. It specifically says save data cannot be loaded from SD card and you have to move it to the Wii Memory before you can load it. While this addresses being able to launch channels from SD, it still irritates me that you cannot save games to it and load games from it.

Then again after beating Okami and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World I really haven't touched the Wii. Nintendo needs to give us a reason to keep playing the Wii, otherwise its doing a great job collecting dust. Judging by the release dates for this year it will continue collecting dust unfortunately.

Cool I'll download it tonight but to tell you the truth I still got space on the Wii internal memory...I've only downloaded Lost Winds and haven't been interested in anything else. I think its time I check out World of Goo. The Wii takes so long to download content online for me that I just can't be bothered.

Off topic: I'm I the only one excited for Punch Out?

Bless

Its a nice update

Still looking for some new games...I'm thinking MadWorld or Pikmin(although I had it for NGC)....maybe I'll just wait for the Conduit

Probably cause waving your arms around pointlessly is lame after you go Pro on Wii Bowling. I've been over it for a while.... except for Mega Man 9.

And now that damn glowing blue light. Mocking me!

WHat is WRONG with you, why were you playing your Wii like a maniac? :p

I do simple gestueres, it takes way less energy and I'm lazy. :)

My favorite part of the Wii, is the pointer. Even after MotionPlus is out, I'll still like the pointing part the best.
