I know, I'm struggling to go into the negative of caring... and it's giving me a headache.

Then just except it for what it is, and be happy that developers decided to ignore it while pursuing their HD ventures. :) Of course the downside of this, is some of those devs have gone out of business.

+++++++++++++++++++++
@2nyRiggz, I'm interested in Punch Out, but not at full price.

@ zap2, what's holding you from buying MadWorld? DO IT NOW. :) I'm picking up Conduit, even if it's complete cheese. Worse case scenario it's another Halo.

Dammit. My Wii got "System Files Corrupted" after installing this update. I don't have any homebrew stuff installed or anything. Time to call Nintendo.

Thanks but that's for American customers so instead I contacted my local Nintendo distributor. Anyway, they told me to send the Wii over there and they'll fix it :) I just hope all my virtual console games won't disappear.

I don't anticipate storage being an issue for the Wii in our house. I can't remember the last time I even turned it on. It collects more dust than my PSP.
Still, for those of you addicted to buying old school gaming goodness, this is a good feature and long overdue.

On the entire console front I'm only looking forward to Excite Bot, Metroid Prime 1 wii version (one of the best games ever IMO and I can't remember most of it!), LBP PSP version.
And any unannounced Zelda, Castlevania GTA titles :)
I guess new Wii games will also come with the update? There are 3 solid brick walls seperating our Wii from the wifi router so yea, think I'll pass on the wifi update ;)

And new, downloadable games.

Same here.......

I'd update my wii - but it'll probably brick it anyway.

The wii is remains a big MEH! in gaming terms for me...

WHat is WRONG with you, why were you playing your Wii like a maniac? .

I get excited when playing Boom Blox ok??? Seriously though, I hurt my arm pretty good playing that game.

But to get to what I meant, motioning to 2nd base to throw the ball in baseball games DOES NOT WORK. It is just horridly unnecessary and baseball is just an easy example of where the Wii fails. Same with Madworld. Although that game is pretty sweet, the horizontal slash vs. vertical motion really makes no difference. Often enough times one motion would result in the opposite action.

Now with House of the Dead: Overkill, now that works out freeeeeaaaking Great. I love shooting things, and I (also) love pointing at things. Combine the two and voila. A beautiful f***ing game! (their words not mine). World of Goo is great for this as well.

Ultimately I think the Wii is a good proof of concept, but having every game trying to have the WiiMote motion fails more often than not. Now with the Wii 2, if you could get the WiiMote and Gamecube controller to have Babies. Then we'd really be taking a step forward. How to do this exactly? Beats me, I don't work for Nintendo.

I haven't hurt myself since the first year I owned a Wii. But I haven't been that excited about any game in recent times, so that's probably why. :)

Nintendo's releasing the MotionPlus before summer if all stays on track, so no need for Wii 2 to fix the current Wiimote's inability to track micro-movements accurately. I'm buying the new Tiger Woods game, because it supports it. I skipped the last two games, because the weren't huge improvements over the first Wii release.

Anyways, I prefer motion for some games when it's don right. Medal of Honor 2 makes excellent use of motion controls as an example. Games like Prime 3 on the other hand were a mix, as when they worked they were great, but when the didn't, I would hurt myself... EVIL METROID TENTACLES!!!

I can't imagine a Cube and Wiimote controller baby being comfortable, but who knows. The nunchuck looks like the Nintendo 64 controller's middle handle. I'd personally like a gun hilt attachment, that has the buttons from the top of the Wiimote accessible on the hilt and a more elaborate nunchuck. It would also be great if this attachment had the ability to switch the A and B buttons with a physical switch, since some developers Capcom have it backwards and are too lazy to put in a menu option to customize controls.

I just updated yesterday and copied/redownloaded all my VC games to the SD card, pretty nifty! It's much quicker than I thought it would be.
And what's that? Majoras Mask on VC? Guess it's time to jump back into the Wii :)

I haven't tried booting it yet but my Homebrew Channel is still there. Never used it anyways, think I put that ScummVM thing on and never bothered with it. DS version is better for me.
