I like the 3D Touch... problem is I always forget it's even there, so I don't use it much. Just can't seem to make it a habit.

I think one of the reasons is a lack of consistency across devices.

If iPad pros had also been given the functionality and you could use the same actions across devices it would become natural over time. If it only works on some devices, people will tend to adjust to the lowest common UI features across devices.

There are only so many ways to interact with a touch screen. That leads me to believe 3D Touch will become useful at some point. I think we're just at a stage where the hardware is in front of the software, and they haven't quite figured out how to use it yet. It'll come around.

But as of right now, I barely use 3D Touch and Siri. TouchID is great

You have to retrain the way you do things to make 3D touch useful. When I first got my 6s i would switch between apps by hitting the home button and using 3D touch to switch between apps was foreign to me. Now a year later and using 3D touch to switch between apps seems second nature.

I really like 3D responding to messages but wish the usage of space was better. I also like how you can preview emails but the content is only text based so the experience isn't that great. However both of these issues are not 3D touch related but iOS related so hopefully apple will fix these.

I use Siri all the time. Especially in the car with CarPlay. It is (quite literally in some cases Im sure) a life saver.

This is first time Ive experienced 3D touch and Im not even sure how I am supposed to use it yet.

Fingerprint sensor is obviously the most useful thing they've added out of those 3. Siri's fine but I just don't use it.

3D touch - gimmicky with iOS 9 and iPhone 6s, actually comes into its own with iOS 10. I find myself using it all the time, but the fingerprint sensor is still the most useful of the 3.

I just upgraded from 5s to 7, and I do like 3d touch, for example the ability to hard press an email notification to see the whole email. BUT, since it doesn't work on my iPad pro, I think I will not get into a habit of using it. It was a real mistake Apple did not include 3d touch on the iPad pro. I guess it was not feasible on the larger screen.

If you have WAZE navigation app you can use 3D touch on that.
If you saved your home address and work address it will quickly pop up and let you get directions right away. I use it almost every day to find the fastest path through Austin traffic. Very handy! With iOS 10 3D touch on reminders and texts on lock screen is very nice too.

Once Apple drops support for non-3D touch devices in iOS that is when you will get most features for it. Every iOS update drops support for oldest phone so 10 can't be used on 4S. So 11 should drop 5 series, and 12 should drop 6. So maybe iOS 13 will be only for 3D touch devices...

This. I use 3D Touch ALL the time. Siri still sucks and gets what I'm trying to say wrong all the time. I don't even bother with it anymore. Not to mention "Hey Siri" takes 50 tries before I get a response.

You might need to (re)train it in Settings. Mine answers 100% of the time correctly.

I use Siri for lots of little things - sending text messages, setting an alarm for the next morning (my schedule is not constant), setting countdown timers, checking the time (when I am in a hotel and can't see the clock radio), checking sports scores, and more. It will be interesting to see how developers utilize the new Siri hooks in iOS 10.

3D Touch I use less - mostly with Yelp to select Check In. I haven't trained myself to use it for much else, yet - it could be more useful to me if I made that effort.

TouchID is literally a game changer and indispensable.

Put me in the column of loving 3D Touch. I use it everyday and couldn't imagine not having it now. I am always surprised at how many people simply don't like or use the feature but it comes down to how one puts it to use. I use it mainly in conjunction with Launch Center Pro. From the shortcut I can directly access my bank and credit card accounts as well as my favorite playlists. Having those with a simple touch is great. With apps taking advantage of the updates to iOS 1O I am gaining even more. Quick glance of Dark Sky for weather, and what I have coming up in fantastical. I also find myself using the shortcuts to my most common contacts for placing calls and messages.

I use Siri in the car and at home on a very regular basis. 3D Touch all the time as well, especially with iOS 10 because it got a huge functionality boost.

I think 3d touch could be good but from a design perspective it's not great right now. If customers have to guess if a gesture will work or guess what it is going to do then you've already lost a lot of users. I think eventually it will become like the right click on a computer. Every time you use the right click you pretty much know what to expect no matter what app you use.

Even if you use 3D Touch for nothing else, using it for moving the cursor around when typing is absolutely fanfreakingtastic.
