Will a Canada/ US purchased iPhone 16 Pro work in India?

I checked the bands supported on iPhone from different countries on iPhone - Supported 5G and LTE networks - Apple (IN)
As per this, the bands supported on iPhone 16 sold in India are all available in iPhone 16 sold in Canada/ US.
Am I correctly assessing? Is there anything else required to make them functional?

Generally speaking, as long as it’s unlocked it should work fine. Of course a US phone would need eSIM; Canada can do eSIM or physical.

It'll work just fine. If you have a choice, get one from Canada so you're not stuck with the esim only BS!

India doesn’t have mmWave launched for public use. So best is to use Canadian version.
