I'd like to use Tags with my 10R. Will that work?

Currently, I have 4 Tile paired with my iPad. That works well. But I understand that the Tags will not work with an iPad or a 10R. Is that correct?

It will work but it won't have the precision finding capability to tell you distance and direction to the item.

It'll work. No Precision Finding but you can pair it and use it through Find My.

You need an iPhone 11 or newer.

No, AirTags are compatible with all iPhones running iOS 14.5. iPhone 6s or newer. You won't have the high-precision location finding using UWB, but you'll still have all the other features.

no. Only for precision finding

you will still get its location On the map with find my
But precision finding is the reason I was interested. I would know the keys are in the house, not where. I had an early Tile and found the beeping sound too low (coincided with my tinnitus).

in a house it shoudln't take too long to pop into each room and try to make it play a sound. You'd pretty quickly find it I think. Not the end of the world. These are designed to help you find things, which that would still do. The precision find is a nice bonus but you're still getting almost all iphones on the planet helping to locate a lost item :)

I'm sticking one under the hood of my new suv when it arrives. Still have an iPhone X. Heh. I won't need precision finding for a car. :D

Oh and @Reason077 - people shouldn't have to go back and change their posts when people have offered corrections - but people SHOULD read before they post - so there aren't 6 people saying the same thing.

I've heard reports that it is louder but I haven't tested it. I have to figure out the real use case for Airtag for me. Luggage, yes. And I will be flying in September. I don't have trouble with keys. And there are places I can't take the Airtag.

I think editing is the pragmatic thing to do. It only takes a second to add a note to your original post, and will save those 6 other people (who, lets be honest, aren't going to read through the whole thread before replying) from writing the same thing.
