Will adding a FAN discount mess up unlimited data?

Has anyone who is grandfathered into unlimited data tried adding a FAN discount code to their account?

My wife gets a discount from work, but I don't want to screw up the unlimited data plan, as it's not a good enough discount for that.

Anyone tried it?

I have the FAN discount with the unlimited plan, but I think I already had the FAN discount prior to getting the iPhone. If you call a rep at the business premier CS center, they should be able to answer that question.

You can't get the FAN on what? Unlimited? Does it work on everything else in your plan but not the unlimited data part, or not on the iPhone at all?
 
It will not mess with it. Most FAN discounts also apply to the data. I get discounted voice and data - no discount on text messaging.

I think what s/he means is that you won't see a discount on the unlimited data plan.

My parents added a FAN after my brother and I had unlimited data and they saw a discount on the other services, just not on the two unlimited data plans.

Also, does a FAN discount cause any issues when upgrading, as I'm thinking of upgrading to an iPhone 5 when it comes out?

No, my mother just upgraded to an iPhone 4 and semi recently my father upgraded to an iPhone 3GS. No issues with the FAN whatsoever.
 
Okay, thanks for the info everyone. I'll go ahead and add it to the account.

I'm very protective of my unlimited data, as I feel like AT&T is out to grab it from me at any chance they get. 🙂
