iPhone 7/Plus Will all the new iPhones use Intel Modems?

As the title asks ... will all the new iPhones use intel modems? I’m wondering if I should wait for the unlocked version with a Qualcomm modem.

I thought I read a story that Apple is done with Qualcomm. Understandable but that would be a shame given the performance differences.

Apple disabled Gigabit LTE but the Qualcomm modem still wins at latency and throughput. The Qualcomm modem is able to deliver higher Mbps or hang on to a signal better than the Intel modem. This gap may have erased with the XMM 7560 however.

Nope. There are very few of those on MR however.

I could def tell the difference between my Qualcomm 7+ unlocked and my X Att. I hope the new intel modems are a lot better.
Everything from signal reception to speed the Qualcomm modem performs so much better.
