Will an Intel MPU be the Future Mac?

Digtimes is reporting rumor that Intel is trying to make a deal with Apple to use their MPU (Atom-based x86 processor" (Bay Trail) and an ARM processor if a tablet manufacturer used Intel's system-on-chip MPUs in its product. In addition, Intel said it would pay the design or redesign cost that a tablet maker would encounter to build its new 22nm Atom SoC processor into the system)" in iPads of the future.

Could this be the Mac of the future? Of course it couldn't run video intensive programs but could operate as a Mackbook Air with ISO and OSX capabilities.

I can't see Apple moving over to that and killing what great performances we're getting now - suicidal move on their part.

How about a iPad Pro? After all Im sure with all the trouble Samsung has caused them a move to Intel might be more palatable for Arm chips.
