Will an iPhone 4 case fit the 4S?

I would like to order my case (Otterbox Commuter) for the iPhone 4S before I receive the phone. I was wondering if the iPhone 4 has the same exact dimensions and button layout as the 4S?

Yes it's like the 3GS was exactly like the 3G; the 4S is exactly like the 4.

Yes it will. At first I thought the camera was gonna be wider so the skin products wouldn't be compatible with the 4S, but watching the demo video of the 4S the sensors got wider but not the actual shell itself. So I ordered me some carbon fiber skin.

lol read! #3 I say yes for GSM model.

If i look at the IP4S picture it looks like the mute button is not in the place place as on my GSM IP4. The gap between the mute switch and the volume controls are narrower on the IP4S

old cases may NOT fit

because the volume switch is in a very slightly different place so if you have a GSM version now and your case fits around that switch very closely then the case may not fit on the 4S
