I've been coasting on MobileMe's free trial working out a website for my dad's artwork and am close to the end of the trial. I had planned on just going to GoDaddy as I see no use for the other features of MMe.

Q. Will the iWeb generated picture gallery work on a non-mme server when I publish to folder then FTP it to GoDaddy?

And if no; what is a substitute that I can do that will appear seamless for the end user (ex. I do not want a horrid re-direct to photobucket with ads and tags klingon-in)

thx,
nf

Hi,

Found this earlier in iWeb help files:
iWeb does not provide an FTP client, but they are easy to obtain. Some hosting services provide a web-based FTP upload service, or you can download an FTP client from the web. For more information, contact your server administrator.

If you don’t publish your site to MobileMe, these features are unavailable:

◼ Password protection

◼ Blog and photo comments

◼ Blog search

◼ Hit counter

◼ Enhanced slideshows

So... "photo gallery" pages from iWeb should work, but no slideshow or comments. I think. As was recommended, couldn't hurt to try.
:)
