Will an old Apple Remote work with a new Mac Mini

Hi all,

I have a MacBook that is about 3 years old now. It came with an Apple Remote (the little white one). If I were to buy a new Mac Mini would I have to buy a new Apple Remote, or would the remote that came with the MacBook also work with the Mini?

Yeah it'll work. When I use the remote for my iMac, it sometimes sends the command to my MBP if its on and nearby (really annoying).🙄

You can pair it to only work with your iMac from Sys Prefs -> Security
