I just checked the activity history of Angry Birds HD (easy to do at appshopper.com) and it was introduced for $4.99 on 04/04/2010 and there has NEVER been a price change.

However, you can pick up Angry Birds Seasons HD for $1.99.

Thanks, didn't realize you could do that there. I just did the same thing. That's pretty damn helpful. Good to know then. At least I don't have to kick myself in the @s for buying a game and then watching it go on sale 2 days later.

You can get free versions of Angry Birds HD, Seasons HD, and Rio HD that have limited numbers of levels - but if you're not overly addicted, it should be enough to last you a while. They even update the free version of Seasons with new levels for new holidays.

Also, highly recommend the AppShopper app - you can make a wish list and it will tell you if any of them do go on sale! I've gotten a couple good deals this way. And you can view the app's price history just like on the website.

I have the free versions. I dont play all da long so its fine for me. If you play it casually the free version will be fine for you
