I don't have an iPad. I used to but it just wasn't for me. I see many people commenting that one of the reasons they don't mind having a 4" iPhone is because they have an iPad for the times when they do need a bigger touch screen.

My only Apple products will now be 4" iPhone + 12-inch MacBook. Perfect setup for me. I envision going from the 6 to the SE will be an upgrade for me just like going from the 13" rMBP to the 12" rMB was. I may get an iPad at the end of the year, but I haven't found a need for one since I got rid of it over a year ago.

Anyone else, or am I just crazy?

I want a comfortable one-handed device like the SE when I'm out and about. It's perfect for texting, or a quick browsing session to find what you need.

If I want to surf online comfortably for hours and hours I'll simply use my Macbook.

Probably. Was doing 5S/6S+ with an iPad, but recently sold my Air 2 because I found myself rarely uses it as anything other than a glorified Reddit machine and a PDF reader in lecture halls. My phone and my MacBook Pro have served me equally well for these two purposes, respectively.

This is the reason I might sell my 6 and get the SE. I put my phone away for the most part while I'm home and use my iPad.

Just curious if anyone has any further opinions on this.
Well…

I have an iPad Air 2. And an iPhone 6s+. I also have one 17" MacBook Pro (2006 vintage) and one 17" PowerBook G4 (1.0Ghz). At home I have a PowerMac G4.

Do I NEED all of this? No. Do I WANT all of this? Yes.

I have a purpose for each one. Just because I have the "phablet" iPhone doesn't mean I don't have a use for my iPad - or any other Apple product I own.

I have a 6 and an iPad. My iPad gets used at home every day. I rarely use my phone for anything besides text and calls, occasional Facetime. I plan to get an SE to replace my 6.

My iPad has been gathering dust ever since I moved to the plus sized iPhones. So, I have made the opposite choice and not purchased a new iPad for the past 4 years. I do not plan on getting another iPad ever.

Exact same as me. Went from a 6s to the SE and a 13" pro to the 12" MacBook. Both work better in my lifestyle. My tv remote is a tablet though, so I do have that if need be.

Not that long ago, we had 4 iPads and now we are down to just one which my 5 years old daughter is using. My older daughter had moved to iPhone/laptop only and so did my wife and myself. We can do soo much more on our laptops and more efficiently, that there is no way we are going back to using iPad's. If anything, we might replace our 4.7" iPhones with bigger screen models when the iPhone 7 comes out, but for now we are doing just fine with phone/laptop combo :)

I have an iPad mini that still doesn't get much use, even though I have a tiny phone.

SE and the 12.9 Pro are with me most of the time.

Any time I want to do some more lengthy typing, reading, or movie watching, I just use the Pro. The SE is perfect for quick and easy one-handed use.

By comparison I found larger phones are only good rather than great at anything I use them for.

Not sure I could just have the SE but it depends on the user and their needs.

I moved from 6S only to SE64GB + IPad2 64GB. When home I use the iPad, when out and about the small iPhone. This bundle is perfect for me and I think this is how Steve designed it.

While I have a Pro on order simply for art, (and an expensive art tool at that), I will never use an iPad for any other reason. I am much more of a Macbook or PC laptop guy than I will ever be a tablet guy. Tablets just don't work for me. They're still bulky to carry around and when you add a case, it's almost as big as my Macbook 13. At that point, I would rather just have my Macbook which can do infinitely more tasks than any tablet. Furthermore, I've had tons of large phones but I always get tired of the size. The one or two times every 6 months where I am forced to entertain myself all day long on my phone, I will put up with the 4" screen of the SE, as every other day of the year, the size of the SE outweighs anything else for me. Different strokes for different folks and all that. The iPad Air 2 in my signature is my 6 year old's and he does some of his homework, learning games, and cartoons on it.
