Will Apple accept trade-ins, like Best Buy does? Do they list trade-in values anywhere? This information doesn't seem to be easily available online.

    I Think So

I believe they do...however, the price they offer depends on the condition of the device. I would call them.

There hasn't been any mention of that so far.

The number you dialed is imaginary. Please rotate phone 90 degrees and try again.

Repeated calls to the local Apple store (Durham, NC) get only a busy signal. (I suppose that's not surprising.) So, no confirmation yet on in-store trade-in.

I guess I'll go to Best Buy tomorrow, and hit the Apple store later for accessories.

Unlike the iPhone, there's no in store exchange for an iPad. The link above requires that you ship it and then you'll receive the Apple gift card about two weeks later.
