I think it is possible (albeit maybe unlikely) that Apple adjusts their color offerings for the iMac in 2022 (assuming there is an update such as M2 in the fall). With other products (iPhone), colors update just about every year and for others (MacBook Air or iPad) it is not as frequent.

Looking at the stats from what I have seen, pink, purple, orange and yellow are not selling all that well. Would Apple take this as an opportunity to refresh the colors and maybe add new shades to bump sales? Or is too much invested in the colors of the iMac (cords, matching peripherals) to warrant a change any time soon?

I for one, would like to see an all black model (doubtful) or deeper colors on the front and not pastel. I am coming from a late 2014 27" 5k iMac so going with silver would be the easy choice to move to, but not as fun. That said, I am not a huge fan of pastel and the current offerings are not exactly to my liking.

What do you all think? Any guesses/wishes for new iMac colors?

I recall around 1999 they released iMacs in multiple colour options but by 2000 they retracted most of them. In 2001 they released 3 or 4 different coloured iMacs with stripes/patterns. I think this time though they’ll possibly keep the multi colours going at least for M2 series then go to silver only after that.

I wouldn't be surprised if the number of colour options are reigned in, maybe along side a Midnight or Space Gray model introduced, when they are bumped up to M2.

They'll keep a few of the colours I think, like the blue seems pretty popular but might get rid of the orange for example.

I think a black bezel option would only look good on a black iMac

On all the current colours that would just look ugly (maybe you can make a case for the grey one)
Black wouldn't look right with the pastel fronts (but doesn't with the off-white either), but if they extended the bold colours currently on the back, many options would look great. Black and orange is a good combination (KTM motorbikes look good in black and orange).

If they went black on the grey one then it would look similar to the classic sliver iMacs (which IMO would be good). I wouldn't be surprised now if they dump some if not all of pastels and go more like the new MBAs. So Silver, Space Gray, Midnight and Starlight (which all have black keyboards/bezels).

I personally disagree. In my apartment my blue 24" iMac looks much better than the silver iMacs. much less intrusive and just fits better. Laptops are for on the move and the screen is much smaller so an off white bezel makes a lot less sense (even though I never minded that on my old iPad Air)

But I guess they should make one with black bezels so everybody can stop complaining

I bought my parents the blue iMac 24". While I agree it is probably the best looking of the 24" I think that is because the Silver has the light/white bezels that look out of place. I also think it would look considerably better if the front chin was the light metallic color of the stand instead of the flat pastel blue. That said I would NEVER buy myself one mainly because I can't stand light/white bezels as they physically hurt my eyes. So yes, I'm one of the complainers! ;)

That's fair - to each their own.

I've been working on mine from home all day and I don't even notice the bezels. nice to use with Universal control and the iPad Pro. I hate my work laptop on the right but have to use it for more advanced excel stuff

I could see them decreasing the total number of colors available, but if so, they probably would revamp the color palette overall so that it can advertise new colors rather than less choice.

As to black bezels, I think it depends on the colors they choose. Silver can take either, pastel colors look better with white, midnight looks better with black, etc. Overall, I think the white bezels on the current iMacs look amazing.
