Look at Adorama and BH Photo. If they ship to your location, they are usually priced below any Apple "sale."

Apple doesn't do large discounts on BF directly and don't expect anything on the current line of computers. Apple will give a small gift card with a purchase of last year's Apple TV or something like that.

They are not going to reduce the price. If they offer anything with the MacBook Pro, you pay full price for it and likely would receive a gift card of some sort in return with the purchase.

God I hope not...think of the children.

If Apple offered $250 off a MBP on BF, or even if they just offered a free set of AirPods with a Mac purchase, literally there would be riots in the street. Walking into the Apple Store would be like entering a giant street brawl. True technological pandemonium.

The best thing that Apple offers during the holidays is the extended return policy. This is the best time to buy because you get almost 2 months to try the device and decide whether you want to keep it.

Apple won’t directly offer discounts on anything, they will offer gift cards at most like last year. You might find discounts through third party sites tho.

Actually not every store does, there are a few stores in the UK that don’t participate in Black Friday, also it would really annoy those people who paid full price if Apple were to suddenly reduce the prices in a big way on Black Friday. Last year they gave £120 gift card if you brought a Mac.

They have never discounted anything for Black Friday, last year was the first time they participated in Black Friday. Third party stores do discount Apple products tho.

Do you recall if they gave iTunes or gift cards out at tiered amounts based on how much you spent in the store last Black Friday?

Thanks. I seem to remember that too. I have the option to get AirPods today or Friday. If I get a twenty dollar card I’ll wait until then. I suppose if they do I can buy new pair and return the old on a Friday.

Yea you could do that, when I went to the Apple store yesterday the guy who served me when I brought my new Apple TV, informed me that there’s an extended returns policy because it’s Christmas time anything brought from Apple can be returned until early January. I think they may do the same again, give gift cards if you buy something like the Apple Watch or a new iPhone. Personally I’m waiting for new Mac’s next year.

That’s cool. Does that return policy start today? If so I can get an extended trial for my AirPods. Not sure if I’ll like them.

I’d be using them about 10 hours a day Monday through Thursday as I work four 10’s. I’m afraid the battery will degrade within a year of doing that. But I suppose they have a year warranty, and Apple is always great about stuff. My iphone battery had issues a year later and they gave me a new replacement. I would think within a year if they degraded a lot they would too.

Apple will price match. Bestbuy was $200+ off and apple matched it. Took a bit to get approved.
just an iPad and then Best Buy threw them on sale. Contacted support and the gave me a credit.

I don't think Apple will discount any of their computers for Black Friday. Actually, I've heard from the rumor mill they are in partnership with Best Buy and use them for any discounting of their computing hardware. Best Buy is always running sales on their Apple stuff, and other than the Apple outlet store, BB is the only place I would buy an Apple notebook from. As for Adorama and B&H photo, you had better know how to jump through hoops if you ever want to return anything to them...bend over, grab ankles, grimace.

Yes, i think both B&H and Adorama will further discount on BF $100-200 depending on the MBP model. Not Apple, but third party sellers ofc.

Got my 2017 13" MacBook Pro w/TB 512MB for $1600 after discounts. No Black Friday sale would have beaten this. Literally $400 off from MSRP for the latest model. Rare deal from Best Buy and New product (not open boxed).

Closest alternative I've seen is 2017 (latest models) 13" MBP w/TB at $200 off and 15" MBP w/TB at $250 off. I don't think Apple will even have a BF sale because it's a few days away and there is no mention of any sales. Then again other brick and mortar stores will always have better sales than Apple Stores in person or online.
