Recently I started learning Apple Motion and oh boy, what a powerful app it is. The more I learn about it, the more I like it. I couldn’t see myself buy again into adobe subscription so it would be a shame if apple puts it down like aperture. Do you think apple will support or bring Motion to the next level on the new arm Macs? My photo library is still a mess after they killed Aperture and I didn’t find a good solution for it yet. Tried many but all of them have their down parts but that’s a different story.

So whats up with Motion? Don’t hear much about it lately.

Who knows what Timmy and the boys and girls in Cupertino will do... I don't see it happening, but I have no inside information, so I'm just whistling in the dark.

Motion is Apple's equivalent for Adobe's After Effects. Motion provides features that FCPX needs, such as tracking. expanded element/text effects, some bit of animation, and so on. If they did away with Motion, all this would have to migrate into FCPX. Personally don't see it happening.

Motion is an incredible piece of software for the price and, as others have mentioned, a necessary complement to Final Cut. For that reason, I don’t think it is going anywhere.

I would like to see some new features here soon. Adobe is starting to leverage a lot of Machine Learning to do some really speed up a lot of tedious tasks. Hope we see something similar with Apple Silicon coming...

The fact that they just showcased Apple Silicon version of Motion during WWDC 2020 along with FCPX, Compressor and Logic, I would say it is here to stay for now.
