I understand that Flash or Javascript would suck the battery but there are so many things out there that would work better with Flash. Sure, we have apps now but Apple could make it so much more convenient by incorporating Flash. Anyone have any ideas?

No, there is nothing.... -nothing- that could ever "work better" with Flash.

It's a dead technology. Thank goodness. And no, Apple is never incorporating it into iOS.

considering not even adobe is making flash for mobile devices, the answer is no.

I can't believe we're still having this discussion in 2013! :)

Flash is gone for all but a few very specific instances. I can only think of a handful of instances in the past year when there's been something I couldn't view on my iPhone.

My bigger beef these days is with mobile versions of websites that cut corners on content. I can see changing the UI to fit mobile screens, but then why cut out content that could fit in the mobile UI too?

Flash is dying on the vine. It's days are numbered. It's all but dead in the mobile world as Adobe doesn't even support it there anymore.

So, going out their way to support a dying technology that kills performance and battery? Never going to happen.

Heh, I used to use Flash on my Pocket PC back in the day. Honestly, for how "amazing" people think it is, it's not on the newer platforms for a reason.

The other day I tried to open up the AT&T U-Verse web app on my dad's Kindle Fire. You'd think it'd be okay on a 7" screen, but it's not. The controls are useless even on a screen that big. It played okay otherwise.

J.K. Rowling's Pottermore doesn't work either.

And those are two instances where it would have been great to have it for.

There is too much backend stuff that a mobile device can't handle.

Adobe removed most of the mobile publishing stuff too.

They have through 3rd party apps. Skyfire and other web browsers let you check out flash content without any issues. Apple will never incorporate flash..... using a very tired and over used cliche some of the apple drones use "Steve would never let that happen", but in this case they would be correct.

I think apple corp is/was so far up SJ's butt that it hasn't quite been removed all the way even after death.

No crap huh... or the way many force you to the mobile site and you have to click to go to the "normal" version. I know there are browsers that automatically send you to full site but I'm too lazy to find out which these are.

Forget about it.

Steve Jobs was against flash being on the iPhone. Adobe has ceased mobile development. HTML 5 is taking over. There's no need to put flash on iOS. It's not happening.

No way, why would anyone be interested in implementing a discontinued, slow and resource demanding product such as Flash?

Not sure what you mean by Javascript. It has been, and will, always be implemented. Perhaps you were referring to Java?

how would i use my new iphone5 to watch videos? This is one of the cons of iphones, can't even watch videos on certin sites
