Will Apple let me do a color swap?

I got my own iPhone X recently and had to choose Space Grey because it was the only one in stock. I'm still within the 14 day return period, I know in years past they have done color swaps, will they still do it for my phone? I am really liking the look of the silver.

You would just return it and re-purchase, if they have it in stock. They won't do it at the Genius bar, but they should in sales.

Yes. Exchange it for the silver. If you are out of your 14 day window, then you are stuck with the SG.

not a direct swap. you'll need to return it and purchase the color you want.

The exchange takes 5 minutes. Walk in, tell them, they scan your old box, take it, bring out the new one. The whole exchange experience is smooth and fast.

Yup. I did it the other day. I brought everything in its original box. Told the guy at the front I wanted an exchange. Scanned my box. Brought out the SG for me and scanned it. Asked where to email the receipts, and then I walked out. 5 minutes. Got an email with two attachments: one showed the "return" of the silver, and one showed the "purchase" of the SG.

The only way it would take slightly longer is if you changed sizes and either needed some money back or needed to pay the difference. Same size? 5 minutes.

Apparently it varies. Some stores won't allow a color switch, others have. Others have tried and been Denied the return based on previous threads on this same topic.
