I've just been given an iPhone 5S with a faulty battery, which will only hold a charge for a few hours, regardless of usage. I contacted Apple about a replacement, knowing full well about the £59 charge. The only problem is, the battery in the phone is not the original, but a third-party replacement that was fitted around six months ago.
I have an appointment booked with my local Apple Store next week for them to replace the battery, but will they do it knowing that it's a third-party one in there at the moment? They ran all their remote diagnostics and they all came back fine, but I just want to know if they will be happy to just swap it? I'd rather Apple do it than another third-party.
Cheers
