my 3g has a firmware problem (error 28) and apple has offered to replace it for $200 (no contract). since they are discontinuing support for everything 3g and older, will they still have a 3g to replace it with? reconditioned unit maybe? or will i get lucky and get a newer 3gs or 4g?
thanks

Also, if they don't have your exact model in stock, they'll order one. That's what they did with my old 3G.

I think Apple have enough fraud attempts to worry about.

I can only imagine the things people would try to get a free upgrade.

This post doesn't make sense.

Why buy a 3g for 200 when you could buy a 4g for 200 with a 2 year contract?

No, you will get a refurbished 3G or in this case $200
