Yes they should as long as you have a phone under warranty or you bought this one separate

They replaced several of mine. Had to raise up to manager level and I do have AppleCare. But yes they replaced. Just be polite, yet don't accept no for an answer.

It's the recyclable covering. It starts recycling a bit early. Older ones from years back lasted longer.

I wonder what the ASK at the end stands for. I thought it was Apple Smart Keyboard.

Thanks all - i will go apple store today ask hope they ok

i think when plug and unplug alot times and it rip little by little

Remember always pull from the tip of the cord not the cord itself. If you do you'll get that kind of damage to it

You pulled it out by the cable time and time again. Next time grip the plug.

Your parents should have taught you.

I know some users were reporting lightning cables having some issues with being fragile i the past. I have never had any issues them fraying or falling apart. Apple seems to have changed the current material with the lady's iPhone cables.

You should see his toaster, lamps, tv, and hair dryer plugs. So bad has to wear rubber gloves to use em now.:D

If he's been taught to pull them by the cord then god help the other areas of his life.

Agree. You should have learnt how to unplug cables since you were young, not only with an iPhone power cable, but also with any power cable.

You haven't told us if your phone or cable is still under warranty, or you still have valid Apple Care? If not, then you can't expect you will definitely get it replaced for free.

:):):)
My cable is expire warrenty
and most case like this they giveaway for replace

i might try another apple store

Jeez, just buy another cable. And this time pull from plug not the cord.

Oh look, I got Apple to give me free replacement cord, all I needed to do was spend $35 on gasoline driving around to Apple stores.

By now I bet you spent more on lattes, or pizza and beer.

Apple replaced mine a week back as my iPhone is still under warranty. they even replaced my 7 plus case as well

I think i will bring 1 only, then take another one after couple week
if i bring 2 too much for the, to replace

dont tell no body :)

They keep records you know. The replacement if you get one, gets recorded as a $0 customer satisfaction sale. All other Apple stores see it. Part of your permanent record.

Yeah, but you look a little like Steve, based on your Avis picture.o_O

Apple won't replace a cable that damaged unless you get a Specialist not in the mood to argue, or a manager feeling particularly flexible.

Accidental damage or wear and tear. User induced either way, and not covered under your one year warrantee or AppleCare.

So lat week i been their and they denied my visit
are they keep my record also ????

that su*k - i thinking to come again this week but diff location store ,

Yeah, I was born at night but not last night. This is probably from some type of misuse. I've never seen a cable do this before, looks like something that is definitely not a factory defect.
