Good Morning All,

Does anyone know if the apple stores will have the midnight MBA's in stock on Friday?

Look on the online Apple Store early Friday morning, you may see some in stock. But it will probably only be the base model, so don’t expect a lot of configurations in stock that day, and be fast to buy one. Good luck!

The problem as I see it, is going to be 16gb models. There seems to be an issue with availability.

Maybe it's just a minor delay. And, maybe more info about this is forthcoming.

If you look at Midnight 8/8/8 GB/256 GB you will see that it says "Pickup:Apple Store Pickup is currently unavailable". If you choose 8/10/8 GB/256 GB it says "Order now. Pick up in store or curbside:". If you choose 8/8/16 GB/256 GB it says the same again. Now choose 8/10/16 GB/1 TB. Then you get "Pickup:Apple Store Pickup is currently unavailable" again but you have to use the second, higher spec button. You can do this for every option and have a good guess that anything that currently shows: "Pickup:Apple Store Pickup is currently unavailable" is going to have at least some in store stock.

Weirdly, the only color that is only going to be available as the base model based on this technique is silver. Why no higher end silver? Only Apple knows but it was like that for the M1 MacBook Air too.

So to answer your question, it looks like Midnight 8/8/8 GB/256 GB will be available as will 8/10/16 GB/1 TB. I couldn't find anything other options that seem like they might be available. Oh and it looks like if you want to pick up on day one you'll have to order the 35 W Dual USB-C power adapter. Choosing the 67 W adapter always switches to "Order now. Pick up in store or curbside:".

Of course this could all be wrong too. But it was like this for the M1 MacBook Air.

Thanks. GREAT detective work :D

I figure it was going to be wait, or 8/10/16/1tb, on Friday. So my question is, do I want to pony-up $400 extra?

$400 for 750gb is pretty not bad.

No one will know for sure unless they work at Apple. Check your store the morning of either online or call them.

What time does ordering for Friday in-store pickup go live?

WHEN WHEN TELL ME WHEN
